Strada Education Network, formerly known as USA Funds, is a nonprofit corporation striving to build a more purposeful path to college for students by supporting philanthropic activities and partnerships, policy research, programs and services that enhance preparation for success in higher education.
Strada retained Clyde Group to lead a communications and media relations campaign in support of the organization’s multi-million-dollar “National Engagement and Philanthropy” grant portfolio. Beginning with the launch of the USA Funds College Value initiative in October 2015, Clyde Group orchestrated a content and earned media strategy to elevate Strada’s work among stakeholders in key states.
At the same time, Clyde Group built and executed a social media campaign to engage directly with students, ensuring that the right message reached the appropriate audiences. Clyde Group also helped build relationships between Strada leadership and top-tier media outlets, facilitating conversations with leading journalists at publications including The Wall Street Journal, BuzzFeed News and Inside Higher Ed.
As a fast-growing leader in the education tech space, Iron Yard turned to Clyde Group to help grow its business by building increased visibility in national and priority markets.
Clyde Group developed a media relations campaign that raised the company’s profile, charting the company’s ability to attract new business partners and gain the attention of community leaders in new markets. A key component of this effort was to position Iron Yard as a national thought leader in the education and tech space, while driving media coverage to help increase enrollment in key local markets.
Clyde Group’s recipe for success included the development of fresh messaging for Iron Yard, followed by a sustained earned and social media campaign built on thought leadership.
The Virginia Community College System program, Credits2Careers (C2C), needed a communications, advertising, marketing and outreach campaign focused on their academic and career portal. C2C is a free academic program and career portal, designed specifically for prospective military and veteran students, that presents multiple academic pathways for these students to apply their previous military experience toward degree programs prior to applying to a VCCS Institution.
The aim of C2C’s campaign was to drive new applicants to apply to VCCS colleges, as well as attract a greater number of their target audience (veterans, active military, reserve military and military spouses) to the C2C portal. To achieve C2C’s goals, Clyde Group executed a foundational landscape analysis and persona development research to determine the average VCCS student in each of their target audiences. Clyde Group then created a messaging framework that is used in all C2C language— ranging from website content to promotional materials. Clyde Group also executed a website audit and copy update that was implemented in early 2019.
