Clyde Group Opens Applications for Second Year of Pro Bono Clyde Impact Program

WASHINGTON, D.C.—November 30, 2020—Clyde Group announced today it will begin accepting applications for the second year of its Clyde Impact program—a project-based, pro bono public relations service for nonprofits working to directly improve and support the Washington, D.C. region.
“The Clyde Impact program is one of the ways we try to live our mission—to create, connect, and move the world forward. This critical program became even more important when the COVID-19 pandemic simultaneously created an acute need for nonprofit services and slashed nonprofit donations and budgets,” said Alex Slater, Clyde Group’s founding partner. “In this climate, Clyde Impact has never been more valuable and worthwhile. We know how dedicated and devoted D.C.’s local nonprofits are, and recognize that many don’t have the time or resources to take on major communications initiatives alone. That’s why it’s been such an honor to complement the heroic work they’ve done during a difficult year, and why we’re passionate about doing so again in 2021.”
This announcement comes on the heels of a successful year of work with Clyde Impact clients. Clyde Impact’s first 2020 client, AsylumWorks, an organization that provides support to local individuals seeking asylum in the United States, began its engagement with Clyde Group last January. The work included a full creative rebrand, social media content, and a website content audit. Then, in July, the firm began its second 2020 partnership with House of Ruth (HoR), an organization assisting survivors of domestic abuse in the D.C. area. Clyde Group helped promote the launch of HoR’s new childcare facility, Kidspace, garnering coverage in The Washington Post and developing messaging, social media content, a revamped newsletter, and a press release.
“Clyde Impact is this firm’s passion project. Every component of the program was built with firm-wide buy-in and input. People want to be a part of the work—they are excited to assist organizations working to help their neighbors and make their city a better place,” added Matt House, principal at Clyde Group and director of the Clyde Impact program. “Even in the midst of a global pandemic, this first year was such a monumental success in large part because of that energy. 2021 will be no different.”
Clyde Impact welcomes applications from all interested D.C. area nonprofits. Eligible organizations must have possessed 501(c)(3) status for two years as of December 31, 2020, prior to applying for pro bono PR support. Documentation will be required. The organization must also plan to execute a project within the scope of six months with Clyde Group.
