VICE PRESIDENT, PEOPLE & CULTURE

The Vice President, People & Culture, will drive human resources functions, including recruiting, hiring, onboarding, and retention. You will be instrumental in advancing our DE&I efforts across the organization and will also work with senior leadership to design professional development programs, including agency-wide trainings, an external speaker series, and our formal review process. This role is essential in helping to advance Clyde Group’s mission and vision, and will serve as a steward of our future-focused culture.
What You Will Be Doing:
- Work with the senior leadership team to design and manage the HR functions at the firm: overseeing the development and training of team members, executing staff training programs, developing and maintaining org charts, etc.
- Play an influential role in expanding our talent and culture processes and overseeing implementation of benefits, helping to expand and mature our HR functions as the firm grows
- Manage and drive the firm’s recruitment and hiring functions, including serving as the first point of contact for potential Clyde Group team members by conducting phone screens and coordinating steps in the hiring process
- Collaborate with our accountant and bookkeeper on payroll and benefits
- Directly manage team members in the HR and operations functions
- Advise team members on HR issues and serve as the first point of contact for HR and benefits questions
- Work with our outside legal counsel on relevant issues
- Develop and provide agency-wide trainings
- Ensure strict compliance with federal and state laws
- Manage relevant talent and culture agency-wide communications

Qualifications/Required Skills:
- Minimum of 10 -15 years of HR experience; ideally in a PR, public affairs, or advertising agency environment
- Bring a diverse and varied outlook and perspective to our firm
- Be invested in being a leader at a small, growing, ambitious company
- Experience in using systems like Payscale to establish compensation
- Have a track record of mentoring staff and leading teams
- Be a strong written and verbal communicator
- A commitment to uphold and defend the highest levels of ethical conduct
- A desire to work in a fun, fluid, and fast-paced culture
- Experience leading staff development and talent cultivation at all levels, as well as mentorship and career tracking
